Louise Hardy British
Louise studied painting at the Ruskin School of Fine Art at Oxford University. After graduating, she was awarded a travel scholarship to spend a year working in Israel which resulted in a sell-out London show on her return. Exhibitions followed annually in and around London of series of work inspired by, amongst other things, the urban riverscapes of London and the City (Coningsby Gallery), the bleak Welsh landscapes of the Brecon Beacons (Jenny Granger Gallery, Whitstable) and a year-long residency with the London Philharmonic and the Lyric String Quartet (St John Smiths Square).
She has been selected for the prestigious Cheltenham Open Drawing Competition, the Singer Friedlander/Sunday Times Watercolour Competition, the Society of Women Artists Open Submission Summer Show and represented at Battersea's Affordable Art Fair. Her work is held in private collections, both nationally and internationally, including major purchases by Reuters and the Financial Services Authority in Canary Wharf.
She lives in London and works from the studio at the bottom of her garden.
